My 2006 330i has had that warning message pop up rarely and intermittently since I have had the car. With 48K+ miles on the odometer, and warranty expiring soon, I took my car in to have it diagnosed. Even though the error message went away, they were able to find the culprit. I'll post what was written on my invoice:
Concern 51 CUSTOMER STATES AT TIMES, "I"DRIVE SCREEN WHEN STARTING STAYS BLACK, WHEN RESTARTED, TIME IS BLANK BUT WILL COME BACK ON ITS OWN TO PROPER TIME AND INFO. ALSO SOS EMSSAGE WILL APPEAR. PLEASE CHECK AND ADVISE. Cause FAULTY CCC Correction REPLACE CCC PER TEST PLAN Comment DIAG CODE D6510_CCC00000_90_003_005 PART NUMBER BMW 65 83 9 123 092 050 65 83 9 123 092 |

I took the car to the dealer and I was told to put back the OEM radio and the warning will go away. But the sound that I'm getting from this radio it does not compare to the stock one. Thanks anyways.
