Clay Question?

I picked up some Magic Blue Clay today. First time I clayed a car. Overall, thought it worked great. Question is, what is the difference between them all? What is the difference between the green, red, or blue stuff? Nobb question I know. Anyway, seemed to take a lot of stuff off. Especially towards the bottom of the car as expected. Thank guys!

Well all the clay is sourced from one mfg. so it's probably just color agents and some clay grade differences to make people think they're buying different stuff from mfg's.
If you've tried other clays, you may see/feel slight differences with grades but that'll be it unless you can score some Ricardo clay

I don't know how it works between manufacturers, but within one, different colors frequently distinguish how aggressive the clay is. For example, I tried using a fairly mild clay on my friend's Jeep, and it was ridiculous. Some of that paint was terrible and you could go over a small area for 5-10 minutes trying to get it smooth. Unfortunately it was the only clay I had and we weren't trying to make it a work of art.

I think the blue clay worked well, just wondering if there was or is any advantage to using something different. Since I have never used clay before, I really have nothing to compare it to. Just wish I had some jet seal to apply after the clay . Someday I will add to the collection!
