E90/91 LCI Front bumper install.
Right, so here is an update. Today I managed to get the remaining bits and complete the front bumper install. The bits I needed in the end were:-
51117892935 - Adapter (1) 51717892697 - Deflector lip left (1) 51717892698 - Deflector lip right (1) 51717903909 - Front wheel arch liner left (1) 51717903910 - Front wheel arch liner right (1) 51118047458 - Plastic blind rivets (5) The adapter sits in the middle and bridges the gap between the plastic under engine shield and the bumper holes. The screw holes differ and don't line up unless you install the adapter. The deflectors sit on either side of the adapter between the bumper and the tray. They are screwed into place using the standard bolts and speed nuts. There are 5 blind plastic drivers that go into 3 holes in the middle of the bumper and into the 3 holes in the adapter. There are 2 further plastic rivets, they go on the left and the right side. You will need to use a rivet gun to settle those in. You will also need to change the wheel arch liners if you want all the holes to align properly. The wheel arch liners will differ if you have brake ducts. Feel free to ask questions. I have taken some pics but they aren't great. This is the order of hardware when looking at the bottom of the bumper. The fixings go: Screw, Rivet, Square hole, Screw, large hole, hole, Screw, Square tab, Rivet x3, Square Tab, Screw, hole, large hole, screw, Square hole, rivet, screw. |
