Anyone get an Oyster interior yet?

I have lots of black and red Vernasca but so far, none in oyster. Anyone got pics of their oyster interior? I thought it might be a pretty neat combo with the Thundernight but in the end I stuck with black/blue stitching cause the oyster looked a little too creamy colored.

Oyster is a no-go unless you like clown colors or are color blind…it is mix of white-yellowish colors ie cream as you say.

You did good with black interior but the white stitches are optimal as blue/purple are too close on the warm color spectrum. Anyone with thunder should paint the calipers black or silver/gray to make it really pop…

I think when I compare against oyster in the 3er, what's missing the dash lower doesn't have oyster plastic. In the 3er the change looks more significant and brightens the cabin a lot more.

We had a similar color in our Pacifica called Alloy. It always showed blue jean transfer on it and when it got slightly dirty, it appeared gray then. Next van had black interior. No light colors for me going forward.

Yeah this pic perfectly illustrates how it integrates a lot nice on the 3er cause the door dash and seats have the same color. It seems incomplete compared to the implementation on the M240i. Guess I'll stick with Black M stitching for now. I don't think it's clown like compared to Portimao Blue and Tacora Red seats. The Superman look isn't for me. But to each their own.

I would clean the blue Jean transfer monthly. It did come off rather easily and did not stain the seats at all.

My comment was in regards to //MML who said the Oyster was clown car like. Just a bit of sarcasm.

Sounds about right, I'm getting close to a month on my G20 and am starting to notice a tiny bit of blue jean transfer and plan to clean the seat this week. No biggie.

I had oyster and BSM in a funfer. Beautiful and just enough off white to not be glaring in sunlight. However for me it was once and never again, I can drive around for 3 months without cleaning the exterior of my cars, the dirt between washes doesn’t bother me much but visible dirt or discoloring of the interior is something else. I know now I’m a forever black or dark brown interior guy

One of my kids got a blue ink stain on the rear seat and you can forget about getting that off…nothing works.

I have seen product called Gyeon Q2 Leather Shield that essentially acts like ceramic coating for leather. Quite a few Tesla owners have used it for their white leather seats. A few videos showed owners testing food coloring, ketchup, grease and coffee, all came off with a wipe or with a bit of cleaner. Seems promising and you only need to apply once a year or maybe twice. Curious to apply it even to my black leather, especially the steering wheels which gets a lot of wear.

I did Thundernight with Oyster. Absolutely no regrets, I love the combo together. This will be my 2nd BMW with Oyster. I like how the Oyster brightens up the interior and makes it feel a little larger. I actually prefer the dash being all black as well (which I was aware of prior to ordering, and still chose to switch my original choice of black to oyster). I have had light colored dashes in other vehicles and find that they get dirty really easily. I personally haven't had any issues with light colored seats in other vehicles, so time will tell when it comes to dye transfer and staining. I don't wear blue jeans too frequently, mostly slacks and leggings.

Unfortunately I have had the opportunity to get quality pictures of my G42 yet, but here's some quick snaps. One day it will be sunny enough to take better pictures!

Thanks for uploading those! It does look good. I wonder if it's too late to change cause my build is supposed to be this week. I'll check with my CA.

It's interesting that even in your photos the color of the oyster is different across your photos. Some appear white while a few are more cream. How does it look to your eye in person?
