Half Check Engine Light 2011 BMW 320D E92
Hi all,
I've been having a problem with my E92 lately. It runs like a charm 90% of the time but when I rev it above around 3500rpm I get a half check engine light and it goes into a sort of limp mode and brings itself back below 2000rpm. I ran a code reader on it and got the following: Motor electronics: 5 errors 452A: 452A Info - Particle Filter System 483C: 483C boost pressure plate 4B90: 4B90 rail pressure monitoring at engine start 4D96: 4096 exhaust pressure sensor before turbine, range 4521: 4521 Boost pressure control, control deviation Instrument panel: 1 error A559: KL30g_f shutdown Immediately I assumed the DPF might be blocked but it did a regeneration around 100km ago so I would think it should be okay. I did some research and I saw a lot about the turbo actuator going faulty. Could this be my problem? Thanks in advance. |

Could be, if the light is triggering after 3500 rpm then it is most likely that the wastewater is not opening and the engine is going into limp mode to stop it over boosting.
Would also tie in with the last code you've got showing. |
