MT radiator in an AT E90, Best option for tranny cooler?
car: 2010 335i xDrive Sedan N54 AT
I bought a used Mishimoto Radiator from someone on Facebook for cheap. I messed up and didn't realize the difference between the AT radiator and MT radiator, and I now have an MT Mishimoto radiator. At this point, I like the price I paid for it because it's pretty new, but I need to get a transmission cooler. I wondered what the best option for a transmission cooler would be if I mostly DD it and plan to track it twice per month on average when the weather is warmer. I was looking on Mishimoto's website, and they have one that is universal and is only ~$100 But I also noticed other options which were confusing me. There's the burger tuning one which is $400. There's also this Amazon/eBay brand Should I just get the Mishimoto one(purely because of the brand), the Amazon/eBay one, or should I buy the Burgertuning one that is 4x the price? I just want to understand how much of a concern Transmission fluid temps are in the N54 AT and whether I need top of the line or not. Also, if anyone knows another way of using the Mishimoto radiator without getting a separate transmission cooler unit or has different options for a transmission cooler, that would be nice. |
