Pressure washer/air compressor combo
Looking for some suggestions to buy around Black Friday or Xmas time. For use only on my car and I wash every 2-4 weeks and detail twice a year so don’t need anything high end, just has to do the job and ideally last 5+ years.

We've got the Ryobi 2300psi unit from Home Depot. Works great for foam gun and rinsing wheels/wheel Wells/paintwork. Makes bug & tar removal much easier.
If you've got a crappy repaint, maybe you can damage the paint with a pressure washer, but BMW factory paint - no way. Just keep the nozzle about a foot or more away and you'll be fine. |

I picked up a Simpson 2800psi a few black fridays ago and it works great, you can use the different nozzles to adjust the pressure, I usually use the white one which is like 40*, very gentle, I wouldn't worry about chipping the paint.
Foam gun a must as well, it attaches right to the pressure washer, worth the purchase. I got this one: |

These 2 are on my list now after some research, seems to be the best quality/value and maybe some extra fittings and longer hose you should be set

to add to this I have fallen in love with using this thing:
https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/46396036766 Specifically you will want the HP one, its 600psi instead of 300psi and better made. But man it works for washing the car. Its half has powerful as a real pressure washer which, for me, is perfectly fine. If you need to scrub concrete you just have to get closer, so the job takes longer, but for washing the car its a HUGE help. There is a foam cannon you can attach to it as well which works well. Im reminded because I just, over lunch, prepped the car for a real bath after work. Sprayed the brake dust off the wheels and got the bugs off the front. So that way this afternoon its just spray, foam, wipe (with a mitt to just get good soapy coverage), rinse, then hit it with leaf blower and then microfiber. So much easier than messing with a full pressure washer rig. |
