E90 N52 Intake Manifold Oil Leak
N52 Car is running fine, no issues with PCV. Is there a tiny oil leak coming out of the intake manifold due to failing PCV valve? Is this the normal amount of gunk/very slight dampness around the nooks and crannies of the engine block?
The valve cover and OFHG are completely dry. These cars don't have issues with head gaskets. Photo is taken between one of the intake manifold ribs. Not sure why image isn't posting: https://ibb.co/MZVd6Wn |

I've never heard of oil leaking from the intake manifold. Some people have reported what they felt was an unusual amount of oil sitting in it, but unless it's damaged that's where it stays. I think you be seeing some idle issues if there where any cracks and vacuum leaks.
Valve covers and OFHG are your main gremlins and valve covers leak on the exhaust side. |
