Intake for my 335i...
I want to start modifying my 335i. I was looking at the intake setups and so far I have been leaning towards the BMS Single cone intake. What I am worried about is heat. I do see, in some pictures the snorkel pointing at the filter.
Does this offset the heat? Meaning, does this hit the filter with cold air since the filter is exposed inside of the engine bay? Like I said the single BMS one I like.. the dual set-up looks a little chintzy to me. ![]() Any help you guys can give me would be great! THANKS!!!

Proponents of the dual-cone intake will tell you that the low restriction of the dual-cone outweighs the engine breathing extremely hot air.

If you are worried about heat, maybe consider the Logic. While it is not a true CAI, it definately is far enough way from substantial engine heat to help bring cool air in and a lot more of it. You can always do the DIY snorkel mod to point the snorkel right at the filter and the brake duct mod to get even more ram air.
