I'm in need of a little assistance.

This morning on my way to work the reduced engine performance light came on and was able to pull the code at the dealer where I work at and this was the code I got

2C58

Mods are as follows:
JB4 with FF wires
CPE 5" DP
VRSF 5" IC
ER CP

I had the vanos unit replaced already when I first bought my car. And the one thing I noticed with this code is that it only happens during cold starts. During warm starts the fault is not present.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Boost pressure building blocked.

Sounds like protection kicking in, for whatever reason. Better that than ending up with major engine issues. Other than that, sorry, no input. Do report back when you find out what caused it.

2C58 = Charge-air pressure control, deactivation: charge-air pressure buildup disabled.

Just looking around and this is what I got. I hope somebody that knows how to resolve this can give us more info.

I cleared the code the same day and it never came back on.

Thanks for updating. I hate reading a related issue thread and someone solved it without updating.

Cleared the codes and this seemed to have solve the issue (for now). Ive done 150+ km since; im monitoring
