My supra's acceleration doesn't have that exhilarating acceleration from the get go, but as long as the pedal is to the metal, you hold on for dear life trying to not get into a wreck as it pulls you past 130 like a rocket...

All we need is an aftermarket company to come out with a turbo upgrade to upgrade those little stock ones on the N54. We're losing top end because those turbos can't flow that much at those speeds!
I'm not sure I agree with you here.

Yeah we don't get the same exhilaration at the high RPM's but we sure can steamroll at hwy speeds. It may not feel like we are going very fast/accelerating very fast but we are. Most of the cars I've played with on the freeway don't hold a candle to the 335 at higher speeds. The 335 is no joke on the top end... it just doesn't necessarily always feel like it.

Now I do agree that, with some fatter- more voluminous turbos... this car may just get nasty power and become more of a gorilla at ALL speeds... but everyone has to remember that BMW's programming is rather complicated and every time they release another update it makes it harder for aftermarket companies to develop a functioning kit! Now, since aftermarket companies often pride themselves on beating the curve of programming, there are still obstacles like space restrictions and the strength of various internals to be accounted for. So with BMW releasing OBC updates as often as they are, and people's inability to retain their valuable warranty, it makes "plopping in some huge turbos" a very difficult task.

All that being said, I can't wait to see it (bigger turbo swaps) done. ,

I must agree with the OP regarding the 335i's lack of top end grunt. The powerband seems wayy to broad in the upper RPM's for my liking.

I have to disagree with your disagreement of what I said . The turbos just can't flow enough at those rpm levels. I said speed, but I meant rpm. I've owned alot of cars and I have about a dozen forced induction cars at home right now and in my opinion, the 335's top end isn't that great (it's good, but not great). Yeah, if you're coming from a civic or accord, it's great. But we're comparing cars of about the same HP or more right?

lol. Pretty sure I got the chrome around the windows. Thats the only difference between the 335 and the 328 right? The salesman told me I'd like the 335 more and I do like the chrome. He was right. No replacement for a good salesman.

I need O-cha to back me up again. The 328 has no chrome. The 335 does. Actually, I'm positive on this one.

Yes to some the N54 is boring... but the real question is if you thought it was boring why did you buy it?

I'm getting really nostalgic for the power delivery of my buddy's civic with an integra motor.

You could always get a procede and change your torque curve..

Ever been nostalgic for an ex-gf? You don't call up the ex and ask her if she wants to F. You F your current gf imagining she's your ex.

Although, I'm not saying you're wrong.

I think you missed a few posts. A tune would *basically* (I know its complicated) increase the amplitude of the torque curve. But, it would leave it's shape relatively unchanged. (I know its complicated)

Lets say my ex-gf has ugly knockers. If I spend money to supersize those juggs. She'd then have big AND ugly tatas.

We all love the amount of torque from the N54. But, it's shape/presentation isn't what some guys find exhilirating.

Actually... your wrong. With the procede you can adjust the torque at different RPMs. Thus this would allow you to create a curve you like more... you may loose torque at certain RPMs but you will be able to make it however you like.

Do a little research... other people have asked for the same thing and the procede can do it if you so choose.
