Dreaded No Sport or D/S mode.
Hi Guys, So before everyone jumps up suggesting the DIY fix for the shifter assembly concerning the broken wires,"Well I have none". Checked all completely. Pulled shifter apart to make sure all wires OK and re-routed for extra length. Even replaced with a "NEW" shifter, no cigar, "NEW shift knob, no cigar. No errors to speak of either. My N57 engine has been a dream to own, but this is a real stumper. I even replaced a "NEW" shifter bezel, no cigar. Auto box shifts and drives perfectly, no issues. I did read somewhere that someone had a similar issue as mine with everything replaced and still, no cigar. So I am reaching out to see if anyone has found a "FIX" for this as it definitely isn't any of the previously mentioned issues.Hoping someone can help. And please do not suggest shift selector switch as did that too. Even my usual BMW specialist is at a loss. Help me Please anyone.!!
