Ask your kids how the back seat climate control works for us

The rear seats are hugely practical. If you are hauling 4 dudes, take someone else's whip though. Of course someone Doug's size won't fit...

Here's the quick stat calcs I made in another thread:

If the rear can fit someone 5' 9", then 45% of US males and 95% of females can fit. With a 50/50 split, about 70% of adults can fit... and that's not even taking into account children that will be the primary occupants (or pets).

It seemed about the size of my RSX-S rear that almost never got used, but was very clutch in a pinch for short distances.

I stuck my 6'1" friend behind his 6'1" dad for a test drive and they were fine. Wouldn't be fun for a long trip but around town they did just fine. They mostly complained about me driving at legal speeds.

Why would you do that to your passengers you monster?!? Drive at legal speeds? I would have complained too!

I loathe that guy's videos. Talk about nails on a chalkboard...

I didn't like Doug's videos at first, but he grew on me (much like some of BMW's styling decisions). Once I got over the meme speech patterns I came to appreciate that he does in-depth reviews on older vehicles nobody would even think about. Really interesting to compare how far modern cars have come to what we grew up with.

He's very through, I looked and drove one a couple months ago and he covered a lot that I missed. The back seat is just fine for the size of the car.
BUT, he should be a DJ for a 1970s radio station.

I don't mind Doug at all. Like bluesman said above, Doug is very thorough. He also good at looking past trending opinions and forming his own. But yeah, I get why he's over the top for some of you.

And btw, put me in the camp of appreciating the back seat climate control and usb c ports. My kid will be back there for a few years yet and will appreciate those things.

I watch most of Doug's videos, can't watch Shmee's... I gravitate towards the ones where he has the cars that are on his auction website and/or goofy, older cars rather than new ones. I like learning about cars that were before my time. His vid on the 1st gen Explorer was pretty neat.

I can fully understand if his *ahem* QUIRKS AND FEATURES talk can be grating to some :P

Add me to the list of people that enjoy listening to Doug. And the bobble head comment, he is kind of like Jay Leno. Maybe it is something he can not control?

I’m not doubting or ripping his success. I just find it hard to watch him because of his animation and rapid speaking. Dialing it back a bit would help his watchability.

Then it would be boring and similar to every other reviewer. I never thought so many were that bothered by how he reviews -- it's just a little head and hand movements that come along with solid reviews -- it's sometimes funny.
