Yep! Great pictures for sure, this shows how far out they are. Good find 👌🏼

Yeah that looks awesome. WAY more aggressive and protrusive than the replica bumpers we saw.

It's something I noticed a while back from this picture. Looks like the wrap is just stretched from the underneath headlight area to the lower intake open in this picture giving it a smoother look whereas this new pic is way more pronounced and aggressive.

Also noticed that the surround for the kidney grilles also protrudes out the same amount as the lower intake which nicely balances the front out. I like what I see.

The G42 went into production in September 2021 as a 2022 model. Expect the G42 LCI to arrive as a 2026 MY, same goes for the G87.

I am well aware how it works as I was internal with the marque for years. Your logic is not 100% foolproof as that does not tend to apply to all the series.

And that's similar to an M2 how? At 1/2 or 1/3 the price?

My point is they are offering both on the other models.
So why not offer both the M2. It would sell. There's a market.

It's for other reasons only.

M4 too big
M240, as above
Driven an RS3. Numb. No thanks.

I'm not asking for the impossible.

M240i. No thanks. Had an M135i between my 1M and M2. As good as the new M240i is.

A standard M2 is not in the same league as a GT4 or GT3. Seriously? That's CS/CSL territory.

Oh yeah, the M4 CSL is RWD. Now that's the comparison. And no doubt they will release an M2 CS and/or CSL in the future to "rival" the GT4. Make that RWD only. be out of my budget anyway.

Perhaps there will be a four wheel drive version of the Cayman when it goes electric.

There is a 911 Carrera 4 incidentally. Offering Porsche customers the choice. Manual or auto options too.

Not that it's directly comparable however it has been compared with the 1M/M2 in the past, but the Audi TTRS is AWD.
First, yeah I am comparing the M2 to the GT4 & the GT3 cause that's how important the M2 is to enthusiasts...there are M2 drivers who ran faster track times than drivers in GT3 or GT4...such a great feeling when one can run with a Porsche GT car or faster through driver mod or performance mod or both.

Second, the way I see it is that the reason you didn't ask for an AWD M2CS/CSL was because it's outside your budget. You want an AWD S58 M car...the M4 xDrive....an S58 M car with a smaller footprint, the M2, all your choice really. Yeah can't have both cause most M2 drivers do not want xDrive

Planning to pick one up at LCI so I can enjoy my F87 for a few more years! By then the markups will be gone and all the aftermarket/mperformance parts will be widely available.

It's Monday, no new leaks...no news...no nothing.
I guess I'll post another render I found. What a CSL version could look like.

I really dislike the color scheme of the M4 CSL. If they ever come out with an M2 CSL I hope it's something better.

So this got me thinking, maybe, just maybe the LCI for the G87 will get different headlights and that's why they designed the bumper with larger cutouts and used vents as a placeholder until the LCI comes out? I know it's a long shot, but what if...
E46 LCI(sedan and coupe/vert) got new headlight shape. Bottom of headlight lens and corner light shape.

Looks like we have a green M2! Looks like Java Green Metallic.

Translation: 50 years of sport and performance. We are honored to have been able to contribute to this legacy with the new BMW M2.

That is terrible. The rear end is just a cut and paste from a 240i.

That's not what it will look like.

If it isn't bad enough how ugly the G80/2 are they also gave the CS that hideous color scheme. I just don't understand how these people are supposedly profession automobile designers unless their goal is to make you take one look and have the reaction of dafuq is this Fisher Price my first sport luxury car Mickey Mouse bs.

I remember when they use to design beautiful cars. I mean just look at this F82 M4 CS, it's stunning.

I have faith the M2 will not be as awful looking as the G80/2, but when they keep coming out with horse shit it makes me nervous.
