starting over
so i detailed my car a few weekends ago and i'm not really too happy with the results which was my fault cause i got lazy and skipped polishing.. i know, dumb.. i polished last time and the shine came out 20 times better.. so how do i get the car to a point where i can start from the polishing step? as in, remove all the sealant and wax i put on? i dont think it will need a clay again since i just did it.. that could save me some time haha..

i agree, you shouldn't have to clay again. from what i've read you can wash the car w/ an heavily concentration of car wash (CG citrus wash is best), follow that w/ an ISA (1 part distilled water to 1 part Isopropyl Alcohol) wipedown and you should be good to go.

What Haper Said. You can use a paint cleaner prior to your wax, sealant, glaze. You can also buy a can of prepsol from a bodyshop supply and wipe the paint down with it. It acts just like alcohal/water, only assuming it would be stronger, without damage to the paint.
