Help with possible steering rack replacement

Hello all,

I have a 2008 335i and been having steering problems for years now . I've replaced basically the entire front end , m3 upper and lower arms , new struts , eibach sway bar , Dinan springs , and the steering shaft but still having terrible feeling steering . It's almost as if there's little to no resistance in the wheel when high speed cornering and on wot the car feels like the wheels are off the ground . Been back and forth with my mechanic and he thinks it's time to replace the rack. Wanted hear if anyone else has experienced this? The car just feels so loose when driving hard huge let down because I've driven my friends with less mods and his feels so connected . I've also tired to adjust the pre load on the rack , I'm going again to try the pre load adjustment too see if we may have gone softer instead of firmer this week

Also went ahead and found some replacement racks . Seems like FCP has a reman one for 840, but ecs also has 2 brands I've never herd of that also have reman ones , not sure if they are Bosch reman or their brand? I'll attach the links to each of anyone has experience please chime in thanks in advanced !

Try finding one off a scrapyard car itll save you tons. It def sounds like a clanking rack. Maybe it was run with low fluid or something? How many km or miles.

It going low is a bad sign. It should always stay topped off
