Briefcases/Bags

I have always had an annoyance with my work back pack. Yeah, it carries everything so no quarrels there. With that said, from a business/aesthetic/organizational sense, I am not found of walking in with it and I am constantly losing items within the abundance of pockets. I don't know how it took me so long to realize, but a nice leather brief case seems to be the solution to my problem as bulk of the items are present on first glance without sorting through an abundance of pockets.

So, I've begun browsing around, but I am a rookie in the briefcase arena. Figured I would open this up and see if anyone recommends a specific brand or bag. I am partial to brown leather and soft vice a hard briefcase, but again just interested if anyone has a bag that has blown them away.

I appreciate the comments and opinions in advance!

This vintage Samsonite ( called the Focus 2 ) case is awesome. Might be worth picking one up wherever you can find it. I could get something newer but this Samsonite is perfect. The outer shell is a textured hard plastic weave, so cool.

Second my Tumi bag and breifcase. They're pricy but you actually do get what you pay for. My samsonite stuff is just OK.

Been looking for a new one myself. I have this Kenneth Cole Reaction messenger-type bag (https://www.kennethcole.com/collecti...-528774-cognac)

I like it, but I hate the Flap. Also, the leather stains WAY too easily.

I've been looking at Coach, but everything they have is too small (can't fit a decent sized laptop).

I ordered the BMW Laptop Bag for now and am still looking.

Any other good leather retailers that sell these?

I use a backpack but then have mesh zipper pouches of different sizes inside, for different things. Writing utensils, charging cables and plugs/adapters, apple specific things and personal items like chapstick/deodorant/ibuprofen.

I find this works great as I can quickly grab the important things like my laptop or iPad, but if I need a specific item I just pull out that mesh pouch.

If you travel, you need a briefcase with a slip-through back to fit over a rollerboard handle. A must-have feature.
