328i Detailed: Jet Black e92 and White GMC Denali
Didn't document these too well because I was trying to beat the weather for both details, it rained three times while I was doing the Denali.
The Denali's paint had a grayish residue from neglect that claying did not remove which was hard to capture in the pics. After polishing the paint regained it's luster and looked white again, it was cloudy so the pictures didn't come out as well as I would've liked. It recieved the following process: Exterior CWG using 2 Buckets/MF wash mit Clay Magic Blue Clay Hitachi Rotary Menzerna PO106ffI mix via white foam Isopropyl wipe down Jetseal 109 Meg's ASD on trim Wheels, wells, tires P21s Wheel Gel Simple Green Meg's Hyper Dressing Eagle One Gel Water based Tire Dressing (Very nice for OTC) Interior/Glass Megs APC 303 Aerospace Protectant Vx-5000 Steam Cleaner Stoner's Invisible Glass Before: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Bmw had usual swirls complimentary of a dealer wash, and reminded me how fun it is working on jet black ![]() Exterior CG CWG via Foam Cannon CWG using 2 Buckets/MF wash mit Meg's Mild Clay Hitachi Rotary Flex VR3401 Menz SIP via PFW Menzerna PO106ff/Final Polish II mix via white foam Menzerna po85RD via grey foam Isopropyl wipe down ONR wash after polishing Jetseal 109 Wheels, wells, tires P21s Wheel Gel Simple Green Meg's Hyper Dressing Eagle One Gel Water based Tire Dressing Before: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

psh i thought your hitachi was broken? that's why you bought a makita right?
and what did you need the flex for? The cars look really good though! Detailing white has to be my least favorite color to detail though. When I was detailing my tC, and I'd start spreading polish, it'd just disappear! So I'd have to decide whether to venture where there's no polish or reapply. haha |

The flex and hitachi I used on the Bmw I actually borrowed from a fellow detailer in my area, a nice guy that helped me out big time otherwise I would've had to reschedule.

This may be a dumb question but isopropyl wipe down? Do you just spray small sections with like a 15% isopropyl/water mixture and wipe? What's the purpose?

It's not a dumb question at all. ![]() ![]() Quote:
Thanks, if you decide to go through with it just shoot me a PM or give me a call if you still have my number. I didn't know you had an e92 also, looks sharp! You should at least clay and wax the car to prevent more serious etching, because it can get to the point where it will be too deep to remove safely. ![]()
