no issues here, and I live in Florida where its ultra-humid and ulta-hottttttt..
I have the JB2 w/the BMS Filter and AA BOV (which shouldn't make a difference) ALSO, it depends what tunes you have... It is known that limp modes can occur during times of high temps and high humidity.. But I don't think your car should be undrivable. Last edited by PilotinSoCAL; 06-28-2008 at 11:15 PM.. |

I've never gotten one limp mode in the year my Procede has been in my car. I don't get it. Is it because people thrash their cars or what?
Anyways, I hope you figure out what the problem is.

+1 The only limp I've had was due to crap gas. Changed that the next day and no issues whatsoever from the PROcede in nearly a year, which is why I ordered the V3 PnP upgrade...

Even with 102 degrees here in Sac, running with Dinan tune, no limp, and oil temps were below 240, which was very surprising. Stock oil cooler with 1/2 bottle of water wetter is all I run.

97 degrees + 85% humidity + driving like an asshole + V3 = no limp

Tell me about it!
I exactly know what you mean with high temps and humidity. I have procede v2 and car would not get out of limp mode when it real was real warm a whiles back. It did not make driving in traffic fun at all, especially going up inclines.
Previous post correct if you have procede - knock down the torque settings. I changed mine down to 90 as I was 93 previously. It was fine during the winter and am running sunoco 94. But we had real warm weather few weeks back and after changing the torque settings - no limp mode now and it's been quite warm again lately. Car is not as quick as before but tradeoff given the summer temps and avoiding limp mode. Meantime waiting on my v3 upgrade... |
