proper order and products
I finally got tired of my Better 1/2's Bimmer looking way better than my Duramax (and I'm the only one that cares for both of them). Of course, her rig stays on the road and mine goes all over (hunting and fishing rig).
I have a few light scratches running full length along both sides of the truck. I got them out grouse hunting several months back. I've used Zaino on the Bimmer since day 1, so thought I'd give the Duramax a full treatment. I dawned the rig, clay bar, washed with Z7, then went with 2 coats of Z5 with ZFX and a Z6 treatment in between each Z5. The final product looks pretty good, but I can still see the scratches when I look hard. Apparently they were a little deeper than I hoped. So, I'm thinking I need a Flex 4301 to help address the scratches. I figure I'll Z7 wash, then go with some ZPC via the Flex. After that I'll apply 2-3 more coats of the Z5 with Z6 in between. Knowing this truck gets USED hard, should I add anything else to proect it from future abuse? Or, should I go some other direction for treating the scratches? |
