If noone replies and is able to assist you, just get the car towed home yourself. On no account use roadside assistance and bring it to the dealership until you have V2 removed. If you watch the install V2 video to get an idea what to do, just take your time to do the uninstall with the instructions I posted. It should take 1-2 hours, just because you are doing it yourself for the 1st time, and you are unfamilar with how to get into the ECU and take out the subconnectors etc.

The only advise to offer is to read up on the installation. The opposite is needed for removal. There really isn't more than that.
I feel for you and would be happy to lend assistance provided you were closer. |

On a related note, I hope you ordered your V3 PnP since: (1) next time removing the mods for service will be simple and (2) you'll probably get updated to Progman 29.2 or 30 or whatever the rev is now, and you'll have to have V3 before you re-install the PROcede anyway... |

Be extremely careful putting the power connections back to stock. People have broken connectors (during install, not sure about un-install) which will cause all kinds of additional problems for you. I would suggest watching the install video several times for V2 so you know the basic techniques for extracting pins from the ECU connectors, etc. Good luck!!! |

Either you or your friend just need to go slowly. If you are applying force at some stage to opening covers, extracting subconnectors etc. you are probably doing something wrong, rewatch the video to see how it is done.
Btw, you don't have to follow my instructions in reverse, they are uninstall instructions. A. |

I totally agree with the above members - Get a friend and take your time. The process is not that bad!
By the way, the fact that you are going through some tough circumstances makes our recommendation to remove the Procede even stronger. Removing it before your service may avoid some serious headaches; which is exactly what you do not need! |

This really ought to be a sticky someplace, with a reference to V2 uninstall, removal, back-to-stock so that it's easy to find...
In any case, to the OP, fantastic work. Quote:

Great info!
Three cheers for anonemouse!!!
Your tutorial helped me clear a code and set my car back to stock in preparation for V3, which will occur after I submit this post. Add this to the DIY section, mods! Thanx again!!! Last edited by Nyulak; 06-28-2008 at 10:41 PM.. |
