trust me this is really easy to install. since you have an m3 you have the brackets and all....

its actually easy, just takes some time to pop the clip out.

I changed my steering wheel and now that I've done it once, I'm pretty sure I could do it in about 15 minutes. It's not hard at all.

I didn't disconnect the battery though. I left the door open until the car went into sleep mode. No issues at all.
