335d intercooler pipe leaking

Hey guys, I have been chasing down boost leaks and have run into a dead end.

The lower boot that connects the pipe to the intercooler is leaking.

I'm still waiting for the ASV elbow kit from ATM, but it seems to only address the top boot.

Does anyone have a solution for a leaky lower connection other than a new intercooler?

Yes, I have changed this seal and it helped. Make sure that connection is popped all the way up in there. My skinny arm cocked at the right angle (from above) was how I got it all the way home. I run ATM IC now I use the preferred T clamp. Good luck!

I'll have to do some new seals. It will have to hold me over till I get a new intercooler. It's a shame no one makes a similar asv boot for the bottom like atm makes for the top.

If you think the issue is the Oetiker clamps...cut them off and put on t-bolt style clamps. If you're leaking from the seals, replace the seals. What more do you need? Nobody makes a cold side pipe, because the issue with the hot side failing, is the heat. Hence, the aftermarket alternatives....

Honestly I didn't think of replacing those clamps, I assumed they were a lost cause. I'm definitely going to do that now.
