Boost Controller
Just curious...why cant we use a boost controller like this on our cars?? with v2 i routinely see spikes over 17psi ...with something like this boost controller it will have safegaurds to decrease boost in the event of overboost.
http://www.nipponpower.com/product.phtml?p=742 can someone provide more technical insight to using devices like these on our cars? Thanks.

The boost control is vacuum operated so traditional pressure cracking MBC's cannot be used. The natural state of the wastegates is open. The solenoids are cycled to use vacuum (from a vacuum pump) to close the wastegates in order to build boost. This is quite a bit different than boost controlled wastegates.
This I copied from the following thread.... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ost+controller |
