Relocated inlets

I'm thinking of doing relocated inlets on my n54 335i coupe, but I have some questions for the forum. For one, I need some recommendations: I'm definitely going for 2" inlets, but I don't know what brands are better/worse.

Also, I was wondering how difficult it is to do yourself, and how long it roughly takes if you're doing it for the first time.

I also understand that I will have to relocate the coolant expansion tank, I've done some research and I understand some people take this as a chance to upgrade to an aluminum tank. Are those even worth it?

If I was going to do relocated inlets.....I would go with the ARM kit. They make good stuff, and people seem to really like their relocated inlet kit.

Are you still on stock turbos? If so....you are probably better off waiting until you install new/bigger turbos to do the inlets. You won't gain much on stock turbos, and it sounds like it's much easier to install them when you are doing turbos at the same time.

Just my opinion....

I hate my VRSF kit. Fits awful and I had to cut it up to get it to fit. Arm looks good with the heat shields. The aluminum coolant tank is $ if getting the turner, there is one that someone builds, can't remember the name, looks ok, not as nice as turner fit and finish. If you're stock turbos make sure you buy inlets for the 1.75 and not 2". It's hard enough to get them to stay on the little tiny turbo snout as is, let alone trying to squeeze another 1/4" out of round. They are not enjoyable to install. PR makes some adapter rings for $50 if you really want to buy inlets for future turbos.

I don't think RB sells relocated inlets do they? At least they didn't have them on their site the last time I looked. They do have some awesome silicone inlets though.
