How Many Have a Non Plug n Play V3?

I met up with tek818 last Saturday to pick up a V3 harness (free of charge ), but I have come to find out that this is not the latest and greatest.
I have the harness with the black relay, but I guess there's a clear harness that is used only with the pnp version.

Am I the only one that is using this V3 harness?
For those that have used both, is there really a difference between the two?

I'm really trying to justify the $400 increase when I already have a fully functioning V3 without some sort of peak fuel pressure thingy.

Thanks in advance.

The only difference is that you can not run any newer maps than the one you have on it now. All new maps will be designed around harnesses with the fuel pressure "thingy".....

I guess the only other maps that I would run would be race gas maps, but I guess I could always turn up the settings a bit.

Craig, there are probably only about 10-15 people that had the wire in v3 (all of which, we installed), and I would say about 7-10 of those have updated to a PNP, so far. The wire in harness is not an option for the mainstream, please don't confuse people into thinking that it is.

So if we have the V3 PNP we are ok to upload the new maps? The issue is only for a few who upgraded their V2 to a V3?

If you have a PNP that was installed by us, chances are that it has a black relay, which means you cannot use the newest maps. If this is the case, you can send in your PNP harness, and we will update it to the clear relay (fuel pressure intercepted) free of charge.

Then I would like to hear from these people then.
Thank you for being so kind to clarify.

I don't believe I said that this was a current option for the public, but i would like to get their inputs.
Is that so bad?

Edited.

I'm sorry man.
I didn't mean for this to sound like I'm complaining one bit.
I'm just stating the facts about this harness.

I'm extremely happy about what you have given me, it's just that I'm really trying to figure out what the differences are.

I had one of the bimmerfest v3's with the black relay . Shiv said I would need the new harness because of 29.2 which I don't have at the moment and fuel control. I would also need it for the newest firmware and maps. Now i'm just waiting to get it back..... It should be on it's way now.
