Electoral system malfunction

What's up guy ! Just seeing if anyone has had this problem and is willing to give some insight. Yesterday evening after leaving my car at the train station all day and coming back from work got in the car like normal and after about 5 minutes of driving I get the "electrical system malfunction" warning and all the bells and whistle's going off. All the light lighting up gauge clusters going crazy and the main screen shutting on and off just the whole 9. Got in the car this morning was fine for about 10 minutes then started to happen again as soon as I parked the car. Got it on video but I guess you can't attach it on here.. My thought is maybe a weak battery ? Thinking that's best case scenario but has anyone else run into this and have an suggestions ?

"Electoral system malfunction" is normal for the USA, but an electrical system malfunction in your BMW is not. The battery is always the best place to start, especially if it's old. Try charging it and checking its state of charge over time.

Next place to look would be the ground straps.
