Traffic ticket?

Hi guys i just got a speeding ticket like a month ago.

however i didn't get a mail or anything. i went to lasupremecourt.com and try to search for it they have NO record showing it.

how do i know how much the ticket is?

Look at the ticket, it tells you which court to show up. Then call the court and they will tell you the bail amount. Ticket sux.

Or he could have lucked out and ticket was thrown out. But then again, most likely it's another district court. Try OC court system. Hope you lucked out though.

Yeah, exactly. If you plan on fighting it, don't bother with Ticket Assassin, it's a total waste of money.

I think all those sites basically depend on the statistical chance that the officer won't respond to the trial by written declaration. Just like fighting it in court. I talked to 2 different lawyers about this. Save your money and just do it yourself or talk to a lawyer. The consult is free:

The lawyers told me they win because they litigate the hell out of the police department, they become such a pain in the ass that the police dept. just says "screw it" and write off the ticket. It costs $2500 to hire them though.

I wouldn't count on it being mailed...it doesn't get mailed all the time. I ended having to pay and was unable to go to traffic school because my speeding ticket never came in the mail and it was too late for me to ask for traffic school. Keep calling in and checking!

the law says you have to keep calling to stay on top of it
even if the court date and they still havent filed it, youre still not off
the cop has a year to file, if after a year then youre free
welcome to CA
I heard that cops are writing more tix even with a decreased work force

Because it generates money for the state/city. I got a ticket for going 5-6 mph over the speed limit on the freeway.

Same thing happened to me 10 years ago. Got a speeding ticket and cop never filed it. I was told by the court clerk to check in weekly for 2 years and it was never filed, so it DOES happen but it’s very rare…
