Sup. Still trying to iron out some issues with my PS2 and tune, I think my pump is unable to keep up, but I'm almost done with the engine work.

Who has used shops in or around Houston for work? Any good or bad experiences to mention? I used EuroPower off Fondren and had a great experience with them installing my Pure upgrade. Forgot to install my diverter valve, but I can't complain when they got everything done in less than 24hr turnaround.

Is the e90 Houston Facebook page still active? I sent a request to join about 2 weeks ago and still haven't been added to the group.

Hi!

Just moved to Houston and bought myself a 335i:

Does anybody knows this car? It's a 2010 M sport manual, been in Houston for all it's life, hope somebody recognizes it.

Really? What was the reason that ABR didn't want to do it? Surprised that Alex Noll wouldn't want to do the job. If I had some aftermarket stuff that I couldn't do myself, I would have gone to ABR.... He has a great shop!

legality of it, Joey. that's all. The EPA is tough, and we don't like to play games with 'em.

Speaking of legalities, isn't downpipes just illegal? I never really thought to asked the question, but since the cats have been removed, there has to be some kind of work around for the ecu to get the correct fuel mix ratio?

We'll put catted downpipes in, but catless we don't touch.

The engine only relies on the front o2 sensors for air/fuel. The rears are just for confirmation the cats are functioning correctly.

Did you end up finding anyone? I have a 335D in College Station. Down pipe will arrive tomorrow. Just gonna gut the SCR and keep the stock exhaust from the down pipe back. Was planning on doing it all myself, but if there's someone in Houston for the right price, I can make a trip out of it. Also needing a walnut blast. Seems like a lot of shops don't really want to talk numbers. Make sure to join the North American 335d Owners Group Facebook page. Lots of people in Texas with these cars. Good luck with your deletes!

Big problem with walnut blasts on the oil burners is that its an ugly situation. You don't know what you're really getting into, till you get into it (make sense?) Is it going to be a 4 hour job or a 12 hour job? Will the intake have to be sent out to get boiled out and swirl ports pulled apart or no? Is the associated things around the valve cover going to fall apart or no? Will the runners be filled with diamond tough carbon and take forever or will it be nice and sooty?

Work like that is really hard to get even close to the correct numbers. We always go 0-6K depending on how crazy it goes (up to pulling cylinder head).
Yes that's nuts. Yes I've done it at the dealer per the FSC. Yes, I've hated my life doing a few diesels.

hope that helps

Longshot, but anyone interested in swapping/selling e92 heated, sport seats? I have in grey in decent condition, can post/send pics by request. Looking for just about any other color besides beige/creme, although black preferred. Let me know, I'd also be willing to do an complete interior swap!

I don't know if they do any tuning, but I use Bimmer Performance on Upland Dr in WEst Houston. Marvin over there knows his stuff. They are quick and reasonably priced. I have always had a good experience there.
