335D on Trickle Charge ?

Picked up a new to me 2011 335D , not a daily driver , more of a project/toy to tinker with , all the deletes need done still and just curious if theres any issues with having a trickle charger while tucked away in the garage ? Did a quick search and didnt see anything specific. TIA....

no issues.

my 335d came with undersized low grade aftermarket battery - I have to keep it on a trickle charger if parked for more than a week.

Having said that, quality Group 49 H8 AGM battery should not need a trickle charger for at least 2 months

I have 7 vehicles, two tractors, two motorcycles, and a kubota diesel zero turn mower. I keep all 12 on deltran battery tender plus trickle chargers. I have been using battery tender chargers for about 23 years now. The average life of my batteries before they need replacing is around 10 years old. My goldwing motorcycle battery lasted 11 years and my Kawasaki motorcycle battery lasted 12 years. This is phenomenal life for motorcycle batteries. I am now retired and only drive about 6,000 miles per year so all my vehicles sit most of the time. I tried using multiple brands of trickle chargers before I found the Deltran Battery tenders and none gave me the battery life the Deltran chargers give me. I keep all my batteries on the chargers except when I am using the vehicles. I plug in my 335D as soon as I get home and unplug it just before I drive it.
I know I sound like I am paid by Deltran. But, I am not and have no affiliation with them. I just have had great success with these chargers. I own 14 battery tender plus chargers. The battery tender plus chargers (cost around $60)I use come with a 10 year warranty. In the last 23+ years I have been using them, I have had only two go bad and 6 of them have always been outside in the weather. I keep them under the hood of my vehicles or I put a 5 gallon bucket over them to keep the rain off. There are cheaper chargers out there. But, I have never found any that make my batteries last nearly as long.

Thanks, was just curious mainly because of the battery monitoring system and all the electronics in this car (1st BMW car for me) , didn't wanna do any damage 👍 it's got an AGM battery in it that was just put in a few days before buying, just need to code it to the vehicle (another 1st for me) but really like the car and doing a bunch of reading...

Thanks Tom , yes I also have been using tenders for my zero turn, motorcycles and vehicles if they sit for a while, even my small electric start back-up generator for the house on those rare occasions of no power👍. Just wanted to verify on this 1st BMW with all the battery monitoring stuff going on with it... have a BMW GS 1200 that's always on a tender whe. Not riding... been using Deltran for years as well until recently I've added a few of these chargers to the equipment due to the fact they charge multiple types of batteries 👍
