tischer bmw sells the oem oil change kit which contains 7 quarts of oem 5w30 oil and an oem filter plus free shipping for $53 w/ an option to get the oil filter wrench for an additional $30. $53 is a good price compared to the dealers. only thing is that it takes a week to arrive to CA with UPS Ground if you can wait.

Local Dealer + CCA = BEST BUY

In Huntsville , Ala --- Local dealer charges $40 for 7qts of BMW oil & filter. I use a strap wrench from Autozone & it does a great job. Yes - there are better oils -- but at this price -- if I had a 335i & thought i would keep the car longer than 100k -- I think I would use this combo every 5k . Currently, I am going with every 7.5k on the 328i & X5.

Bmw syn 5w30 and filter are priced very competitively with BMWCCA discount. Got my filter wrench from Tischer for twenty something dollars, or you can get ebay ones much cheaper (it's just a cap-wrench).

I use Mobil 0W-40 Euro Formula and I do think my E90 runs better with it than factory oil. it is LL01/04 approved and it is real full synthetic. BMW factory "full syn" 5W-30 isn't considered as full syn in EU. Do some research on the forums, I remember someone did an oil analysis on the factory oil and the result wasn't that good.

With all due respect, I would not. It is not BMW LL01, not ACEA A3 and only has an HTHS of 3.09.

Mobil 1 0W-40 on the other hand is LL01, ACEA A3 and has an HTHS of 3.7. Plus approvals from MB, VW and Porsche in addition to BMW.
