E92 rear bumper question

I am seriously contemplating a custom rear exhaust for my E92 328. The exhaust setup would use an E92 335 rear bumper (probably non msport).

If I were to get a new bumper cover for my car, is that all I would need to make the new bumper fit?

Part 2 of this thread:

If there is a non-PDC painted bumper available, can the PDC holes be cut out without damaging the paint?

Im hoping someone has tried this before.

I am looking for a new rear bumper. I have PDC, this bumper does not. I know there are guides in the bumper to drill the necessary holes. I just do not want to damage the paint.

any damage to paint would be negated by tape and the fact that pdc sensors have a little lip on them to cover that area. Not as clean as having them cut then painted but in the end all the same.

The underside of the 335 & 328 are totally diffrent especially on the right side. So if your looking for a Dual Exhaust System with a 335 application there will be lots of modding to be done on the rear underside of your 328.

Its ok. This project has made me go to the dealership (and under my personal car) and study for a while.

I think the project will turn out great. Just making sure I have all the details together.

Sorry but someone has to say this...

Sell the 328 and get a 335, you get a LOT more than just a different bumper. Oh yeah, then spend a few bucks and get a tuner. You will then have the looks you want and a car that can keep up with most Porsches on the road.

Also, I dont think you would get the money out of the 328 with the "335 look" in the resale market.

he's just doing it for looks, what's wrong with that? Let us know how it goes with the whole process and give us some pics! Are you going to be doing this yourself?

... and maybe I can spend another 30k and drop the M5 V10 into it

Believe me. I would lose much more money dumping the 328 for a new 335. I bought the 328 instead of a 335 when I bought this car because I do not need the 335 power. I hate to say it, but the 335 is not the most special car on the road.

I really dont care about 'keeping up' with porsches on the road. No matter what, someone else will always have a better car, and I dont feel the need to justify myself to those people.

Maybe you are self conscious enough that you HAVE to have the 335. Not me. This is a purely cosmetic mod that I am doing, and am not trying to pass it off as a 335.
