Intermittent long cranks
Hi all,
My car has started having long cranks before starting for the last couple of days, other than that it runs fine. Is anyone able to offer any advice please? The logs show it’s not related to the HPFP or LPFP pressure. The log below shows a failed start and code thrown. I continued logging and pressed the start button again and it started immediately. I was also logging Vanos status but I’m not sure what to look for here. https://datazap.me/u/griff500/log-16...?log=0&data=18 Code read as follows: DME active codes 2EF8 - DME: Map thermostat, activation. 30BA-DME: Injectors 1, 2, 3 or DME, internal fault. 30BB - DME: Injectors 4, 5, 6 or DME, internal fault. - DME shadow (inactive) codes 29F4 - DM: Catalytic-converter conversion. 29F5 - ME: Catalytic-converter conversion 2. 2AAE - DME: Fuel pump. 2AAF-DME: Fuel pump, plausibility. 2FDB Fuel high pressure nach Freigabe der Einspritzung - Misc. information 18/11/2022 MHD 3.1.0 Voltage 13.97 V Last flashed file : v10.0 Stage 2+ 93oct_98ron DME is MSD81 Help appreciated |

The DME is water damaged.
Please check this area guys to save this happening to you! I watched a video just a few days ago on YouTube (ZeroTo60) and he had this same problem - it was on my list to do, but I guess I should’ve checked it sooner! |
