Man o man have I had a time with a general trans service. It all started when I got under the car to change my transmission fluid to find a stripped drain plug from previous owner. I then had to just remove the pan and work the plug out from the include. While I was in the transmission I dropped the megatronics and installed all the new sleeves.

Once I bolted everything back up and together I filled the car with the needed fluids. Once I started the car for the oil to cycle thru I noticed all my lights and codes were on for the transmission (4x4, drivetrain, ect.), I thought that was weird but figured the car would need to drive to reset itself after the main plug was removed. The car was then finished with the fill up and ready to test drive.
Man was I wrong, when I went to drive the car would not shift out of first gear...wouldnt budge.

Here's where I lifted the car back up and noticed the megatroics plug still had a little bit of wiggle in it. Ended up getting it complete tight with sacrificing the little plastic tab on the plug. Once I started the car no lights or codes were on. That was the issue we are good to go.

Nope...now the car will go thru all the gears and does it well. That is in normal drive mode of course. When I went to put the car into sport (throwing the shifter to the left) nothing happened. The car will now not go into sport mode, it will let me shift manually for about 10 seconds (if that) and then the car kicks back into normal drive mode.

Now after doing research and posting on a FB group people led me to the faulty shifter wire that tends to disconnect in all e90s with this transmission. I have since then took about the shifter and center plastic to find NO broken wires. When I put the car into sport I also still get the orange "LED" in the D/S mode where I see a lot of people with the broken wire issue do not.

This is where I'm confused now, I have since then also re flashed stage 3 back on the trans and still no fix. Something in my mind is telling the car not to go into D/S. I un plugged the battery last night and will hook it all back up after work...hoping for some sort of reset to happen. Also there are no current codes on the car or transmission when scanned thru XHP.

Car is 2011 BMW 335XI FBO on MHD stage 2+ tune, and XHP Stage 3 on trans.

Ive seen mixed thoughts about reseting adaptions, I have not done that yet due to more votes saying not to touch them.

found this with some digging, further down Ronn mentioned this part number 51167155643. Would that really be causing this issue...the gear selecting lever.
