e90 ski rack

Hi All,

I have the BMW roof rails for my e90 and I want to get a ski rack for the rails. I wanted to see if you have any recommendations.

Thanks!

I use this with the BMW OEM rails (though I just purchased the black Thule wing bars during their Black Friday sale).

These work great and integrate well into the OEM rack. You can either cut the rubber insert around the feet for the ski rack, or you can use the included straps (metal coated with rubber, keyed) to strap them around the bars. From what I understand, these are a little more robust than the Yakima option.

Pictured below with the strap mounting, but I later swapped to the more integrated mount, which makes the rack sit lower and closer to the crossbars.

You can size down depending on your needs, but I got the large one in case I ever need to bring a snowboard in addition to any skis. My car doesn't have fold down rear seats or a ski pass, so I needed either a ski rack or a roof box. I skipped the box to avoid needing to store it.

Garage List
I just went through same research for my E70.

Best option is BMW rack P/N 82-72-2-326-527
Cheapest price thebmwminipartstore (under $300 with tax and shipping).
Made by Thule for BMW in Sweden

Current Thule line up comes with T-bolts that are too small for BMW cross bars.
Made in Poland.
Needs BMW bolt kit P/N 82792457871 or use ugly (included) clamps

The Thule one is slightly wider than BMW, can take 5 ski pairs, maybe 6
BMW is 4 ski pairs, maybe 5 and slides out
