I think this maybe involved with the fuel pump. I have the same thing.

not tuned. car is in the dealership as we speak. they said it was a software issue and they have to go into things manually.

just have a few lighting code mods. front parking light delete, double pulse blinker, keyfob, AE and fogs as welcome lights, V-speed on dash.

to my understanding these light code mods are a seperate module from the engine so should have no affect on this error code 2F80.

I hope its a fuel pump issue.

I have the same code and got no answer on this issue. I think the dealer would be the only who can help you with this one.

are you going to go to the dealer too? i see you have some engine mods. When did this error come up for you? Was it after an engine/tune install?

This thread is old as hell, but in the interests of persistent information for the future: I just got this error code while fiddling around with coding. I believe it may have been related to coding KOMBI, which resets the system clock. My guess is, the engine turned off while the clock was set right, then the next time I restarted it, because the KOMBI clock had been reset to factory default (whatever that is, jan 1 1970? It just displays blanks), the engine could only calculate that it's been off for negative time, thus implausible.

I also was messing around with coding. Did a WinKFP flash of RADIO module (sirius) and had 4x4 abs errors and many more in INPA afterwards. Flash did work, cleared errors, but 2F80 would not go away. Ended up blank man file coding Kombi, set the date/time and all seems to be good now. weird. thanks for you post
