Vader Solutions Crank Seal Protection plate

Hello all first post here. I installed a Vader Solutions Crank Seal Protection plate for my N54 and upon start up it’s grinding on the harmonic balancer. I contacted Vader Solutions and they said due to the clearance on some of the individual harmonic balancers grinding can happen and because the plate is aluminum it will wear down to where it needs to be and stop. My question is do I take this advice or do I remove it and install something else and hope it doesn’t grind? Thanks in advanced and I don’t want this to come off as a trash post as Vader Solutions was very quick to respond. Just want some other opinions is all. Attached should be some photos of the balancer and the plate.

Surely you can't be serious accepting that response from them.

Are you seeing your images, and you are ok with all that aluminum shearing off like that? That alone could damage your seal.

Of course. There is no way this was acceptable, and their first response was rediculous to say the least.

Glad you got it resolved, hopefully.
