Single Turbo Kit For Canadian resident
Sup folks.
Ive contacted speedtech (no anwser) and Doc (to deal with a supplier like n54tuning in TO), but no reasonable option. doc kit is 9000$ which is more than the price of the car. Didn't contact ON3 yet, but so far looks like my logical option would be CTS Turbo and they only got upgraded twinniz. What you guys get that would not double the price because taxes and customs ! |

Speedtech gets my vote. That is probably what I would buy today.
DR is having issues with cracking manifolds etc. They outsourced their tubular N54 manifolds to China last I heard. Cast manifolds having issues too. There is a local guy dealing with this stuff now. ON3 uses junk turbos and wastegates, after buying a precision turbo and quality waste gates you are at the cost of any other turbo kit but with a subpar exhaust/turbo manifold. CTS twins are just china cast like everyone else(DAW, VTT, etc.) You buy a pallet of turbos and they will cast them with whatever business name you want. Many ship with fake balancing sheets and shitty upgraded wastegates. If you want to gamble with chinacast twins buy the VIV auto gen 3 19Ts on amazon for $1,100 add on 4 years of warranty for $300. M18 has a top mount cast manifold right? Not sure if anyone makes a kit around it. If you want twins buy RB or those VIVs and gamble.

1st review video about doc race was a cracked manifold indeed.
Quite hard to find something locally that wont cost the summer+winter car combined. Ive checked FB market, used ON3 kit for 5K$, and used ebay no name kit for 3k$. Ill check a 2nd time with speedtech, but so far, they dont ship in canada |

Is it possible to get it delivered to a USA shop, have it installed there, then just drive back ?

But possible to drive there, then tywrap it under my n/a car and if I get controlled by custom saying that was there when entering in us anyway, someone told me to contact directly the store, and they might be able to do something to same customs and a bit of shipping. |

They will ship it out to you for $200usd. Atleast that’s what they charged me few months ago I’m in Ontario. Speed tech gets my vote aswell. You can also save some on customs if you reach out to the seller
