Need some advice

So when I ordered my car I decided not to get the factory installed ipod/usb in the center console or the dealer installed ipod adapter in the glove compartment. About two weeks ago, I emailed my CA and asked if I could include the dealer installed ipod adapter.

After determining my delivery date today with my CA, I asked if the ipod adapter ($350) could be included on the already negotiated price. I figured I didn't negotiate based on invoice and I think he got a pretty good deal
($48825 before taxes and fees). His response was that they couldn't include the ipod adapter without increasing the price and that it requires a lengthy reprogamming process that will cost an additional $150 ($500 total).

Has anyone heard of this so-called "reprogramming process"? Do I have any leverage whatsoever? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
