I cannot speak for him but mine did not get worse after the new clutch. However, just like him, the rattle became MUCH more noticeable after installing catless downpipes. Luckily, my rattle only happens during cold starts and goes away after a minute or so.

After doing this, the rattle is gone! But it made the pops and burble that I had from the MHD flash are now gone. Have I adjusted too much or is this an ideal situation? Did a few turns..

First off I've heard that if you get 30FF it can be because your wastegate isn't sealing ... however in here Mr5 says the wastegate will seal under boost - which I do agree with. SO mr5 .. were you getting a 30ff code before doing this? AND is there anyway to get 30FF from the wastegate? I'd imagine not because like he said previously, under boost the rattle goes away, which it does for me too ... so how would 30FF happen from the wastegate? |

My actuator nut was rusted solid and couldn't budge it with the tiny 10mm. Would there be any risks in spraying some PB on the nut and trying again?

Did this work? I'm on an '07 e93 335i RHD so needless to say, in a much worse position to try to get to a rusted nut. I did spray some WD40 on it but it still hasn't budged. Didn't wanna risk trying too much and rounding the nut off.

No, I gave up. Ended up buying a 535xi and gave the 335xi to my girlfriend so I didn't have to listen to it lol. Will be replacing those turbos in the summer. I didn't want to risk snapping anything.

Any industrial strength penetrants I could try using you think? To loosen the actuator nut that is. |

Don't have time and deserve to read thru 19 pages.
Question. Can you somehow reach the front actuator for adjustment without taking too many things apart? Or stick a blob of JB weld on the rod to minimize or eliminate the rattling? |
