boston haters
Some hater put a scratch on my car in Boston last night (near Kneeland St.), about 16 inches long. It’s intentionally done with a key or some pointy object.
Does insurance cover this type of damage? Do I need to have that area repainted? Any good recommendation? Fukin Haters that can never afford to own a nice car…low life! (sorry for the vent)

Damn, sorry to hear that. That neighborhood behind Tufts Medical Center is really not that safe at night.

That sucks man, sorry to hear. Same thing happend with my Audi a couple of years ago in Brighton.
My insurance did not cover it. But since it was light silver, and the scratch was not that bad, it was tough to see. It just depends on whether you think its noticeable or not. On a smaller ding on the A4, I used OEM paint and primer. The scratch was about 4 inches long. Covered up pretty good. Good luck!

Was there for a banquet and just minding my own business and all, didn't give anyone attitude. Why can’t they just come up to my face if they got problems with me?
Oh well....

I don't know whose E92 335i was parked right outside kells tonight but later I moved my car to right outside and people were leaning on my car and shi$@. I got my big Bulgarian friend Anton to go outside and get em off but it's annoying. Whoever's 335, you got a lot of belt scratches probably

The poster has my sympathy and there is no excuse for treating someone elses car that way but if you park in front of a bar on the night before a holiday don't be surprised that the patrons may not be considerate.

I would be happy to take a look at it for you to see if there is anything that can be done besides having it repainted. I have a detail shop in Burlington and would be glad to take care of you since you a forum member. If the scratch isn't too deep, I may be able to wetsand, compound and polish the area and fully remove the scratch. I have repaired several vehicles in the past that have been keyed with great results. If the scratch is through the paint, I have another option available. Drop me a PM if you would like to stop by some day. People really stink! It's getting to the point that it's not even worth having a nice car. I totally feel your pain. My Corvette was keyed a few years ago and needed a complete repaint. |
