BMW Performance Center... "Offer Letter" ?

Has anyone who's done the 'Performance Center Delivery' had any experience with "offer letters"? I've been trying to get a date for my PCD forever now, and this morning they sent my CA a letter saying "I will send an offer letter this afternoon.". Why can't they just e-mail my CA (or me) a date? And does this mean that it's a one time/ take it-or-leave it offer?

Its been a long road...
4/1 = ordered car
6/5 = picked up car in Munich
7/2 = Car arrived at port in NJ
7/9 = Car cleared customs (got ATI)
7/10 = Waiting on a snail mail letter??? WTF!

I've pretty got a date I had to accept, otherwise I would have waited another 2 to 3 wks or more. I got a firm date notice 3 wks ahead of time and my day has come this coming wkend. Oh Boy!

Oh wow, enjoy!

So the date they gave you, was it a cancellation? (or they were able to just squeeze you in?)

I tried to tell my CA that I don't need a date scheduled in advance, and that I can take a cancellation or whatever comes first. It just seems dumb for them to send an E-Mail notifying my CA that they're sending me a letter (snail mail) with a date. (Instead of just telling him the date, or e-mailing it to me or something!)

Ha, I'd take it in a second. (Then the wait for my car wouldn't be as bad.)

no it was not, just a firm date or wait another month. So kinda take it or leave it, but no its not a canx. You case is kinda hard to believe, normally they notify you and your CA w/ a cc copy to the client thru email. Once everyone is in agreement then the welcome letter is sent. Once the car is delivered to PC, and you decided to take dealer delivery, you pay for the transport back to your dealership.

Thats what I'm afraid of. I was hoping to get in ASAP somehow through a cancellation, or be put on a waiting list for the next spot that opens up at the PC. (But my original/awesome CA was fired, and now I'm left with a new guy who I don't know much about.)

I'm planning on going down there, doing the PCD and then taking a road trip back home to NY. (So no transport for me)
