Hey folks,

since this forum has helped me a lot to successfully create my first FSC, I would now like to return the favor and give you guys a tool that completely automates the HEX editor part.

That means, the executable creates your 319-bytes FSC file from the file that you've retrieved from your car (e. g. 'generalPersistencyData_diagnosticSWTController' or 'data03').

I've written this application myself. For this reason, I ask you guys for feedback on wheter it is functional and how you like the idea!

Of course it's completely free and you may use and distribute it just as you like. Please just leave a credit to me, thomasx, or this topic here.

Usage
==========

The tool is a dos executable. There are two ways to execute it:

1. Call it via cmd and put your input file as a command line argument.

BMW_FSC_File_Generator generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTController

2. Drag & Drop your input file on the executable in the explorer.

If your input file is valid, the 319-byte FSC file will be created in the folder the tool was started from. It will be named after your short vin. For example: AB12345.fsc

The tool now works for both CIC and NBT cars (1B and DE files).

The file attachment in post #1 on this thread contains a Trojan called 'Occamy.CA7'. Fortunately W10 picks it up and quarantines it. If it worked it must have got compromised or else it is a false positive.
