No sound at all, have tried absolutely everything.

Hey Team

So I have been trying to fix this problem for over a year, and I am completely out of ideas

Car is a 2006 E90 with the base model sound system with no amp. (Located in New Zealand)

- There is no sound at all, no door chimes/seatbelt/stereo/etc.

- CANBUS *seems* fine. Using the Loop/Connector in the corner behind the backseat I have traced every single wire and the loop is fine (Eg nothing stops the red light) . Have even tried bypassing everything in the trunk with a loop but still no go.

- The controls etc still work... eg it can find radio stations etc but no sound. I do note that the volume button does not seem to do anything (Eg it won't show the volume is increasing) but if it's pressed then the mute icon pops up etc.

- I do have a K+DCAN USB cable and I have successfully connected it using INPA to check I can connect OK (I can, but have not done anything more than that)

My gut is telling me it's the CCC .. (I have no idea what to do if that is the issue)

Or is there something else obvious I am missing?

Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Thanks heaps

Did it ever work since you have had the car?

Do you have the option list that the car came with.

Have you ran the Vin through Mdecoder.com

Have you measured the speaker resistance from the back of the
Radio connector.

It has never worked since we got it, so just to add another twist to this story.

I just opened it all up in the front, looks like the CCC is from another car. Looks like it's from a E87. (Says E87 on it + production date of 19.01.2005)

Had a play with NCS Expert to do the standard code of the following

CHOST
CAPPL
CGATE
CAUDI
CTUNE

They all work fine, except the CAUDI module (Which I am guessing by the name is the important one), can't seem to read it.. get some sort of "Error in CARB! COAPI-20141 etc etc etc" hmmmm

Argh this thing ><

Guessing either A) Not Coded Correctly or B) Faulty CCC ?

Looks like you need another one .
Or and upgrade to the next generation of idrive.

If you can't read that file you can't write it.
Did you try reading it?
Make a trace files and edit?
