2009 335 i X Drive Wheel Help
Hey guys, just picked up a 2009 335i X Drive and wanting to get some wheels on it for the summer, stock is 225/45 17 i believe, wanting to go wider and up to 18s/19s, just curious what size/offset and width/ratio i can fit with stock suspension, and if both wheels and tires have to be the same since the car is AWD
Thanks in advance |

19x9 is the biggest I've seen in the front with a 35 offset and 19x10 with a 38 offset in the rear but i will tell you now w/o some suspension changes its gonna look a little goofy buddy from experience

Congrats on the new car! xDrive takes a bit more patience since only certain tire sizes will work. Wheels and tires do not have to all be the same size, but it definitely makes things easier.
Here are the staggered tire size combinations that are compatible. As a general rule for E9x xDrive cars, we want to keep the difference in overall rolling diameter well below 1%. With a square fitment this is easy, but with staggered, here are the combinations that will work: 17" Staggered Tires - xDrive compatible: Front: 225/45-17 Rear: 255/40-17 Difference: 0.2% Front: 235/45-17 Rear: 265/40-17 Difference: 0.1% 18" Staggered Tire setups - xDrive compatible: Front: 225/40-18 Rear: 255/35-18 Difference: 0.2% Front: 235/40-18 Rear: 265/35-18 Difference: 0.4% 19" Staggered Tire setups - xDrive compatible: Front: 225/35-19 Rear: 265/30-19 Difference: 0.2% Offsets for xDrive are the same as RWD models, so anything made for an E9x non-M will fit. Our fitment guide (see signature) lists many different combinations that will work. Take a look and feel free to reach out if you have any questions! --Dylan

I appreciate the help! I looked and it currently has 18s with 245/30s, looks pretty decent just gotta change up the OEM wheels, i'll probably go with 255s and maybe up the ratio to 35s just to get them a liiiitle closer to the fenders but I think 18s might be the way to go, thanks again!
