Oil Filter Cap Issues

Has anyone else had an impossible time trying to screw off the oil filter cap. I can't for the life of me unscrew it. Any tips? I already bought oil and a filter.

There is already a small green line on the cap that acts as a guide on
how far to tighten it (at least there is on my cap).
