Newer Radio (Professional) for 2006 E90
I wanted to do the bluetooth connect but the pixels won't allow such. Looks like a newer and different radio (probably from ebay). I'm assuming that I'll need to recode for the different head unit (bought the Launch Creader for BMW scan tool and am impressed by the two way abilities of this thing). My question is are there any suprises I need to know about before and during this effort? Thanks ahead of time.

Your message makes no sense.
which two things are you impressed with. Are you even talking about a BMW Head Unit or and Aftermarket head unit? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=687463 what do pixels have to do with bluetooth? pixels are elements of digital screen. |

If you have a pro radio and not idrive the Pixel fade problem is well known.
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=761513 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=pixel If you get another BMW radio you probably have to program it to the car. Most of the BMW Pro Radio's in the US only do Bluetooth phone. The two apps that can program something that are mostly used here Bimmergeeks Pro Tool and Carly and Bimmergeeks is the one to get because it's not a subscription service and the people that run that company support it. The real way to have diagnostics and programming as powerful as it gets is BMW Standard Tools and Ista D. Last edited by ctuna; 02-10-2023 at 07:50 AM.. |

Thanks for the information and understanding my problem. Yes I have the Professional Radio, and to be honest, I'm the type that likes to keep it as it came from the factory. That being said, these cars have sooooo much more to work with, even on a base model like mine. The education PFD's sure came in handy too. From now on I'll try and not ask too many obscure questions.
