7 speed double clutch tranny coming

My guess is that this tranny is being offered for mpg more than performance. I would guess the gear ratios will be shorter thus making an extra shift needed. That extra shift will make the 7 sp only slightly faster 0-60 and 0-100.
I agree that it will be a great choice for the 335. All the control of a mt and the smoothness of an AT. Plus better MPG !!!

I think the specs say that the DCT tranny make the 335i faster 0-60mph by 0.1 sec.; 1/10th of a sec is not that much difference but it could be 2-3/10ths faster in the 1/4 mi.
