e92 pre lci rim and tire set will it fit?
Hey guys!
I’ve search a ton on the forum and seems no one is really using the set up I am trying to achieve. I single turboed my car and I need the most traction possible in the rear but I do not want to rub at all. I know the pre lci have a little more room which is great but I’m confused on a couple things: What’s the max tire/ rim base without rubbing? What’s the recroomended set up? 18 or 19 for performance? What I have been sort of leaning to is : Front : 18x8.5 et 35 255/40 tire Rear : 18x9.5 et 50 or 45? Which one will fit better? With a 275/40 tire Any insight would be very greatly appricated ! Car is lowered on Dinan springs as I know that matters . Also for tires I’m leaning twords ps4s . Thank you in advanced ! |

I run 18x9 et30 255/35 front 18x9.5 et35 265/35 rear with PSAS4 tires. I have an e90 lci so that's why the 265 rear but you should be able to run a 275. I'm lowered on eibach pro springs and have M3 arms and Dinan camber plates (-2.2 front).

Hey thank you for the insight ! I’m only at about 1.5 negative camber out front do you think I’d rub with that set up out front?

lol yeah apex's are popular I run ARC-8's. I don't have any pics on my phone right now but there are plenty of people running that front setup that you can find some. If you want the most tire you can get in the rear you could go 18x11 et44 with a 295/30 but for best traction I'd advise running 17" wheels since more sidewall will help it stick better.

This is 18x9 et30 (245/40) / 18x9.5 et35 (265/35) with 5mm spacers in the front for inside clearance and 2mm spacers in the rear. There is a slight rub in front at full lock when backing up. The 2mm spacers in the rear are to push the wheels out and I would like to go a bit further. I think you could run 275/35 no problem. I do have M3 front arms and rear camber is set to -1.5, if I remember correctly. The car is a 2008 on Ohlins R&T coilovers.
APEX has an awesome fitment guide on their site. Last edited by Jeff S; 03-03-2023 at 11:02 AM.. Reason: should have read 275/35 |

See here for the Apex fitment: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide I mixed a couple different categories in this guide as I was also trying to get as much tire as I could fit. I think I got a bit greedy on the front and have a little more poke than I like. If I can get the rear to match the front better I would be happy. Now that I think about it, the pic above might be before I added the spacers in the rear. The pic below is how the car sits now. The wheels are just slightly turned to the left. My apologies for the enormous pic, I’m not as good at editing on an iPad Last edited by Jeff S; 03-05-2023 at 02:34 PM.. |
