335d e91 lci non start problem

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this issue I’m having.

Car was driving firm all of a sudden I felt a little jerk engine management light came on and car switched itself off and wouldn’t start.

Car try’s to start but it won’t had some codes come up. So had the cam shaft sensor changed it still won’t start.

If anyone has any ideas what to look at next or can even recommend a good bmw specialist in West Yorkshire would be great thank you.

Check the wiring to the sensor. I think mine has minor chafe marks near the sensor?

Yeah had them double check everything’s round sensor is correct. Going to an actual bmw specialist on Monday and rang another place today both said timing could be out so let’s see.

Wow, bad chains on an M57... Glad it was just the top end that needed attention!

Yeah very lucky did the head, camshaft , and rocker cover and gaskets plus all chains and glow plugs while they were at it. But she runs so sweet now.
